What are the basic entry requirements I should possess to study abroad?
The basic entry requirements required for each University can vary widely depending on what you wish to study, your English language proficiency and your study destination. You will generally need to meet the Academic and English language requirements for your desired University. When selecting a Bachelor’s degree, the University will most likely require a High School transcript and the completion of an English Language test such as IELTS, TOEFL, CAE or PTE. A Master’s degree will require the completion of a relevant Bachelor’s degree and a certain level of work experience. Please book a free counseling session to learn more about all your options. Why do I need to take the IELTS or TOEFL test?
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) and Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) are designed to test your level of English. When applying to study in an English-speaking country like the US, UK, Australia or Canada, you will be required to submit an IELTS or TOEFL score as proof of your English language ability. These scores are also required during your Visa Application process.
Is doing IELTS compulsory to study abroad?
There are many different tests that you could take before getting the green light to study abroad. Such tests can include but are not limited to the IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, or Cambridge ESOL. However, many universities also provide prospective students with admission tests which will be in English. There are also instances that these tests could be ‘waived off’ under the guidance of a counselor in certain circumstances. Please book a free counseling session to learn more about your English language testing options.

How can I convince my parents to let me study abroad?
Your parents are a very important part of the decision process when choosing to study abroad. It’s important to get all your information in order before talking to them. Here are some talking points for that important conversation with your parents:
- Spending time abroad is a good way to develop maturity and personal independence. You will learn a lot about yourself and what you are capable of by living in a foreign environment.
- International experience can also boost your resume and employment prospects. Many employers feel that studying and living abroad shows great initiative and independence, not to mention a global perspective in today’s international marketplace.
- Studying abroad is a great way to learn about different cultures firsthand. It’s also the best way to practice or learn language skills, which is another essential skill in our global economy.
- Studying abroad is a once in a lifetime experience. You can visit another country any time, but living abroad is a unique opportunity, and the easiest way to do that is by becoming an international student.
